Program Description:
London collage
Spend 3 weeks exploring one of the great cities of the world! We don't only visit the iconic tourist sights but also the back lanes, alleys, and little-known architectural treasures. Includes a day trip to Paris via the Eurostar. Stay in fully furnish 2 or 3 bedroom apartments. Earn 3 credits toward graduation requirements, not mater what your program!

Course(s)

Students who join this program will be required to register for one of the following courses:
SOC 255: Urban Society (3 credits)- Satisfies the Citizenship requirement
ART 382: 20th Century Art and Culture (3 credits)- Satisfies the Fine Art requirement

These courses are listed in the Spring 2017 semester. Either of these can satisfy the UG culture course requirement.

Leaders

This course is led by Drs. Mark Looker and Michael Kalmes, who teach in the School of Arts and Sciences at our Ann Arbor campus. Dr. Looker and Dr. Kalmes have led this program for many years, and are the best people to contact for questions about the program.

Requirements

  • This program is open to undergraduate all students located on all campuses.
  • Must be in good academic and conduct standing with the institution.
  • Must register for one of the associated courses. 
  • Must comply with all deadlines for applications, document submissions, deposits and other payments. 
  • This program frequently fills up. Seniority is strongly considered when applying. 

Costs

  • Program Fees: $2,500 (price subject to change)
  • Tuition (3 credits)*
  • Study Abroad Fee: $50
  • iNext Insurance Costs: $40
*For full-time undergraduates, there is no additional charge for tuition as long as the 3-credit course does not put you over 18 credits for the Spring semester.
 

Inclusions

Included in the Program Fees are:
  • Round-trip airfare
  • Airport transfer and ground transportation
  • Luggage fees for up to 2 checked bags under 50 pounds each (only one checked bag is reccomended)
  • Lodging
  • Museum entrance fees
  • Some meals*
  • Day-trip to Paris*Some group meals are included, but students should be prepared to pay up to $25 per day for non-included meals.
Not Included:
  • Fees associated with obtaining a valid passport or visa*
  • Personal expenses
