Program Description:
Uganda
Join us as we travel in Uganda helping those in need by providing health care, health care education and skills training. We will partner with local schools, churches and clinics. Uganda is a beautiful country, located in East Africa and bordering the beautiful Lake Victoria. This trip is a chance to experience cultural immersion first hand and get a close look at Ugandan life while experiencing working as a team. To make the adventure even more exciting, we will enjoy a 2 day/1 night safari.

This course is led by Dr. Julia Parve, instructor in the graduate nursing program at Concordia, and founder of Hope without Borders, an NGO that provides access to healthcare to people on 3 continents. For questions about the program, please email her at: 
 

Requirements

  • Must be a graduate nursing student, ideally with one semester of clinicals completed already (can be waived).
  • Must be in good academic and conduct standing with the institution.
  • Must register for one of the associated courses. 
  • Must comply with all deadlines for applications, document submissions, deposits and other payments.

Costs

  • Program Fees: $3,500-4,000*
  • Tuition (3 credits)
  • Study Abroad Fee: $50
  • iNext Insurance Costs: $50
*Final cost will be determined in fall 2018

Included in the Program Fees are:
  • Round-trip airfare
  • Airport transfer and ground transportation
  • Luggage fees for up to 1 checked bags under 50 pounds
